On Surgery Day, this is the nerve block they put in my back to manage the pain after surgery. It hurt like hell when they put it in. I’m pretty sure I passed out, but for the next few days, I didn’t really feel much. This day, I was probably more afraid than anything else.
- Stay ahead of the pain. It’s much harder when you wait to take the meds once you are in pain.
- As soon as you can, move around a bit. It doesn’t seem like it helps but it did for me.
My next post about my surgery talks about my decision to have a double mastectomy (bi-lateral) over a lumpectomy or a single mastectomy. You can get there from here.
