#204 My Pre-Treatment Cancer Top 5

The 5 things I would have done differently during my cancer journey if I had known then what I know now:

Yyyyyy1. I would have become a nymphomaniac. Seriously, but only with my husband of course. Had someone told me 15 months ago that I would think about sex and a root canal being on the same level, I would have told them they were nuts. Today, not so much. Frankly, I might lean toward a root canal before sex because at least with a root canal you get novocaine!  Now, that prior paragraph is full of hyperbole, so take it seriously, but not too seriously. But still, I would have become a nympho.
2. I would have taken pole dancing classes. Don’t judge. Look, it’s a skill. It takes strength. And, I’m sure it would have helped out with #1.
3. I would have learned how to ask for help and be comfortable with receiving it, even when I didn’t ask for it. If you’re independent like me, asking for help is very hard.
 4. I wouldn’t have shown so much strength for my daughters. I worry that I did them a disservice in showing them that you take everything in stride and get over it. Some things rock you to the core, and they need to know that it’s okay to be scared and unsure.
5. I would have asked my doctor sooner if I was going to die.
